About our honeymoon

Our honeymoon destination was Key West!

Honeymoon was Amazing!

This was Justin's first ever trip to the Florida Keys! We made an event of the trek down to the Keys taking out time to stopping at outlet malls, to see the sights, and really take in each other’s company. We ironically ate at Five Guys in Miami which we somehow always seem to do every time we have a big life event purely out of coincidence. Key west was awesome and we had beautiful weather almost the entire time! While in Key West we stayed at the famous Pier House Resort and even though we are both Floridians we still enjoyed lots of frosty umbrella drinks tourist style!  It was refreshing to see that in this day in age there were still areas that were a throw back to a bygone era devoid of cookie cutter chain franchise and fast-food joints.  We took a Pedicab bicycle taxi down to do the obligatory stop by the Southernmost Point Buoy. Eat at Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville and took it to the next level by getting a full piture of blended Margaritas brought to the table. We toured the Ernest Hemingway Home and Museum and saw the six-toed cats. Made the stop by the Hard Rock Key West for a tee shirt. Checked out Mallory Square during the day and hit up Duval Street at night. Partook in some shopping therapy and Kerri got her new favorite handbag. Ripley's Believe It or Not Odditorium was surprisingly intriguing.  The Key West Ghost Tour was a lot of fun especially when they took us to a spooky old fort and had everyone walk around with EMF readers. Leave it to Justin to figure out in under a minute how he could set off the EMF readers of those standing around us by toggling a setting on his cell phone.  Pretty sure a couple kids were sleeping in their parent’s bed that night thanks to that trick. Pete's Dueling Piano Bar is an absolute must for anyone visiting the Keys. We had our palm's read and were told we needed to be drinking more water likely due in large part to our repetitive visits to the various famous Key West watering holes such as the Smallest bar in Key West, Hog's Breath Saloon, Fat Tuesdays, Sloppy Joe's, No Name Pub, etc.  In all it was an amazing trip to unwind, decompress, and really just to take the time to enjoy being with one another!
